What's in It for You
High impact -- we rolled out Oracle about a year ago, and it is only one of several change initiatives underway to facilitate our ongoing growth. You will be our in-house Oracle supply chain/purchasing "guru," and you'll put your personal stamp on new processes, such as helping to develop a change board.
Professional growth -- you'll have opportunities to learn new technologies and business processes as well as to expand your project management and leadership experience. As the IT shared services group implements new technologies at either Levlad or Arbonne, you will be able to learn that technology. For example, we're currently bringing Agile product lifecycle management software online at Arbonne.
Dynamic, exciting environment -- change is the order of business at Levlad right now, including new processes across all departments, new technologies, and new leaders. To be honest, this environment is not for everyone. However, if you are the person we're looking for, you'll recognize that the challenges inherent in this kind of environment are, in fact, opportunities for strong performers to make a noticeable impact.
Career development -- IT and eBusiness are crucial to the success of both Levlad and Arbonne and, depending on your performance and aptitude, you might pursue promotional opportunities in either organization. Both have aggressive growth initiatives underway, including international expansion at Arbonne.
Excellent compensation -- in addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits plan that includes all you would expect plus a few pleasant surprises, such as an employee product discount. More About Your Role
Reporting to the Director, Project Management Office, you will join one other Business Analyst in Levlad's Chatsworth facility. The Director, along with the majority of IT shared resources, is housed at the Arbonne facility in Irvine, although he visits Chatsworth regularly. You will have access to those resources, including a supply chain expert at Arbonne. Levlad has about 500 employees, counting a large warehouse staff that varies in size depending on business needs.
Both Levlad and Arbonne were purchased in late 2004 by Harvest Partners, a leading private equity firm, and both has since transitioned from "mom & pop" operations into much more sophisticated corporations. That transition included rolling out Oracle last year, and this is where you come in.
You'll leverage your expertise in supply chain to help create and implement business processes related to purchasing, workflow, forecasting and planning, and more. While you will provide production support, we'll look to you to enable business units and users to be self-sufficient, automate or document the process, and turn it over to the operations group.
On larger projects you will take direction from a Project Manager, although on small to mid-sized projects you will act as Project Manager. In these latter cases you will handle planning and executive reporting, and ensure that issues are reported, resolved, closed, or escalated in a timely manner. More specifically, your business analysis activities will include: - Performing analytical and research activities in connection with assigned project duties.
- Preparing detailed specifications for the development team.
- Testing programs and systems logic, working with developers, and preparing programs for final user testing and approval.
- Coordinating project and resource assignments.
- Managing the system projects including patch application, testing, and CRP application upgrades as well as various other rollout and system enhancement projects.
- Scoping and estimating projects as required.
- Coordinating systems support and development efforts.
In addition, you will: - Act as an account representative for the purchasing /supply chain department . An account representative works to understand both the defined changes and impacts, but also looks for process improvements and methods to improve the businesses ability to manage their area.
- Act as a system specialist for defined applications. In this role you will provide support to the other analyst or departments to research or educate on the related systems. This may include helping develop super users in various departments.
Keys to Success
To excel in this role you will be a change agent, helping users understand and embrace the positive impact of the new systems. In addition, in order to be an outstanding Business Analyst, you will: - Take a proactive approach to ensuring solid communication among the stakeholders on projects.
- Remain flexible in interacting with people who are not used to the new systems as well as with those who are familiar with ERP and sophisticated technology.
- Be comfortable with a certain degree of ambiguity as you help create structure and clarify processes.
- Keep your patience and sense of humor handy -- change can be challenging, and we'll look to you to model a levelheaded approach.
If this sounds like the right mix of challenge and opportunity for you, and you meet the minimum qualifications, we want to hear from you! Who We Are
